Hello my pretties. I have so many pictures to show you! But alas I cannot. The computer system is currently unfriendly to your genius girl monday.

Genius Girl Monday & ron

Let’s not shed tears of sadness or tears of anger but move right along.

Lunch…a rainy day treat of pickled asparagus, tomato soup and toasted cheese sandwiches. It hit a spot in the soul and filled it right up with warm delight.

David has been working in his studio on some amazing found objects. Keys, spoons….

Last week at dinner I secretly wore the keys around my neck on a simple chain. The keys have been covered in silver beads and have a lovely weight and feel: dense but not heavy, smooth but not mushy. David is donating one of these to benefit the Seattle Public Theater. An auction will be held Sunday, May 21st, 2006 at the Bathhouse on Greenlake here in town. James Thompson of Flying House Productions is in charge and I think he is rustling up some fabulous things. I’m first in line for the key. I can’t help but think of Allan Sherman’s “Jump down spin o’round pick a dress of cotton…”.

Also on the calendar, David has been in correspondence with nationally renowned curator Gail M. Brown, and he has just promised a piece to “Living It Large” at the Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft. The show will run June 12th through November 8th, 2006.

Ron has just returned from a week in Florida at a conference for Episcopalians from Hurricane Katrina’s destruction zone. He was there working in his field as heath care provider. This conference focused on support for those ministering to the victims who are also victims themselves. We’re so proud of Ron and his generous temperament. WWRD?

Around the big house, if you want to take a peak, look here.
