While I’m here hanging with the Dame of Details, I thought I’d pop in and say “hey”. The Dame and I had a lovely lunch, the Dame having the teriyaki salmon and I the classic Bento Box. The walk down to Market Street here in Ballard had us passing quite a few trees full of fall color and it was a beautiful stroll with a long time friend. Did I tell you how I met the Dame? It was back in the late 80’s, if you can believe it. There were 4 students total in the art history class, all in the second row - and we sat at either end of the row. I was afraid to talk to her because she was sooo smart. She always had these great observations when looking at pre-Renaissnce saints being tortured. One thing led to another and here we are some some 20 years later. As the French say, I am a woman of a certain age.
Meanwhile back in present time, here are a few pics from a trip up to the great white north:
and here is one from my niece’s birthday…
Perhaps we’ll get to talk again soon.
Yours,
