NEW COMPUTER…if no pics, please be patient as we try to figure out the connection…
Leftovers! David and Ron shared their Thanksgiving Day meal on this cold Monday afternoon. Sitting at the kitchen table in the basement of the Ballard house, eating stuffing and potatoes, I can say I’ve experienced true happiness. Deb stopped by and we enjoyed the flavor of hospitality together over apres turkey coffee.
In the studio, Daivd continues to work on his 108 pieces of contemplation in saffron.
Here is the Head Quarters for the piece.
If you missed getting the paper thrown on your porch yesterday…here is the cover of the Seattle Times Sunday Magazine from November 27th, 2005. Peggy and Margaret now command super model treatment.
With photos by Benjamin Benschneider, the article, “Scavenged Splendor” is by Valerie Easton. At press time David’s show at BAM hadn’t been extended, but at Blog press time I can tell you again, it has been extended until February 2006.
If you get a chance, also check out the current issue of Ornament Magazine (Autumn 2005). Robin Updike has written an excellent article on The Belevue Arts Museum. There is a great sidebar on page 19 about Stefano Catalani and his concept/understanding of/for David’s show at BAM.
Back at home…
Here in the Ballard big house, David and Ron pulled apart the Ladies Room and found this in between the stalls.
Until next week…
